A STUDY ON THE LEVEL OF BASIC ROLE PERFORMANCE & PREFERENCE OF THE AGED WOMEN IN THE FAMILY

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of basic role performance & preference of the aged women in the family.
The data for this study was collected from July 1 to July 18, 1992.
The subjects were collected by interview from 114 women over 65years old residing in kwang-Ju city.
The instrument used for this study were the level of basic role performance & preference of the aged women in the family developed by Cho-kab Chul.
Analysis of data was done by S.P.S.S. program using percentage t-test, one-way ANOVA.
The result of the study as follows:
1. There was significant difference between the level of role performance and that of preference.
(house hold head role (t=0.02, p<0.01), educator role(t=-7.67, p<0.001), service role(t=2.84, p<0.05)
2. The result of comparison between general characteristics and the level of role performance & preference of the aged women in the family expressed a significant difference
